A text mounted by an 80 collaborator team with 63 intervening, animated by 7 authors, consolidated by 3 coordinators

this book recalls the saga

of creative high schools later murdered

of the lived "Rénové" later sabotaged

of a parascholar revolution

spear head

of forgotten educational hopes

The past is not fascinating simply because it looks like our time.

What fascinates us are the appearances man took on Earth and through which we attempt to recognize him.

André MALRAUX

The utopia should be lived in the reality

A testimony supported by
thirty years
of successful and failed struggles

Yesterday and today same struggle

The school is henceforth obsolete

It ought to be replaced by another utopia

They won battles for the progress of the education. They changed habits, resuscitated schools. But they lost the revolution.

For 30 years, they were blamed for going too quickly and too far.

Rubbish! The decrepitude of schools at the turn of this century shows that it was necessary to do more and faster.

85% of the time, intelligence, efforts, days, and moons the actors of this saga lived, consisted in resisting reactionaries, fools, traditionalists, and lazy ones.

The remaining 15% made them happy, efficient, progressive and hardly tired.

Did they either win or lost this " school warfare " yet started under favorable historical circumstances?
